Meet our Eye Care Professionals:
James E. Clabeaux has been a practicing optician and contact lens fitter for almost 50 years. Mr. Clabeaux is a NYS licensed ophthalmic dispenser and contact lens fitter. He was also a member of the Salina Lions Club where he worked with the Central New York Eye Bank under the supervision of Kenneth Spitzer, M.D.
Mr. Clabeaux was one of the first practitioners in Central New York who fit soft astigmatic contact lenses and did so as a Food and Drug Administration trial investigator. He is highly skilled in all aspects of contact lens evaluation and prescribing and particularly enjoys the challenge of fitting new specialty (multifocal, astigmatism, etc.) lenses.
If you like cars, boats or horses Jim would love to have a conversation with you regarding these!
Lois Clabeaux is the office manager and a frame stylist for Skyline. Lois has spent over 40 years in the optical field in both the wholesale and retail settings. Lois enjoys working with patients in all aspects of care, but especially during the frame selection process. Lois has a great personality and the patients love to come in to talk with her.
Lois enjoys running, going to the gym, gardening, and spending time with her family!
Andrea Stone is a part of our full time staff as Dr. Morra’s Optometric Technician where she does pretesting and other medical tests. Andrea also does the many duties required to help make Skyline Optical run efficiently. She has been in the Optical business for over 11 years and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of insurances. She enjoys interacting with patients and helping them in selecting their frames. Andrea has a wonderfully bubbly personality and our patients thoroughly enjoy interacting with her. Her interests include her family, her extensive shoe collection, and especially coaching her daughter Zoey’s cheerleading and Lacrosse teams.
Dana Mitchell has been with us part time over the last 6 years. She is a pre-optometry student at the University of Salus in Philadelphia PA and after graduation would like to attend the SUNY College of Optometry in NYC. She helps Dr. Morra with many office tasks and assists him while performing sophisticated visual field testing. She is a great asset to our office and will make an excellent optometrist in about 4-5 more years.
